Alan Ray Cummings

Alan Ray Cummings, 62, of Santo, Texas went home to be with the Lord on May 14th, 2026. He will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend.

Alan was born in Eastland, Texas to Cathy Gordon and Scottie Cummings. Alan loved to travel. His favorite place to be was in Colorado, where he rode his mountain bike through many trails with his daughter, Kaysi. He was a wonderful grandfather and spent his last days building birdhouses with his grandchildren. Alan worked for Delta Airlines for over 25 years, until he retired to start a career as an HVAC technician. He loved to fish with friends and family and is remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Alan is preceded in death by his loving mother, Cathy, and stepfather Gary, his father Scottie, and his nephew Jacob.

Alan is survived by his daughter Kaysi Scarbrough (Doug), grandchildren Katherine and Duke, sisters Diane Barker (Alvin), and Sherry Rasmusson(Larry), nieces Amanda Dawson (Steven) and Shana Rodriguez (Ted) and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Santo, 135 W. Palo Pinto St., Santo, TX 76472. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home-Strawn.
