Alvarene Oleta Williams

January 1, 1937 — February 10, 2026

Alvarene Oleta Williams, 89, of Granbury, Texas, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on February 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 1, 1937, in Gorman, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Floyd Patterson and Ava Oleta (Bowman) Fleming. Alvarene's spirit and warmth were further illuminated when she united in marriage with Rondo C. "Ronnie" Williams on January 27, 1993, in Ore City, Texas.

A devoted member of the Eastland United Pentecostal Church for over 50 years, Alvarene dedicated herself to her faith and community. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, serving both Eastland Memorial Hospital and Eastland Health Care for more than 30 years, where her compassion touched the lives of many.

Alvarene had a zest for life manifested in her many passions, including building projects around her home, tending to her garden, and creating beautiful crocheted items. She treasured long walks, bike rides, and the simple joy of watching butterflies flutter by. Later in life, she embraced her love for music by learning to play the guitar alongside her husband, Ronnie, creating beautiful memories through song.

Alvarene's heart shone brightest during family gatherings, where the presence of her daughters, Stella Marlow and husband, Donald and Elizabeth Briley, brought her immense joy. She reveled in the company of her eight grandchildren-Kimberly Coffin and husband, Chad, Cody Brown, Charlie Brown and wife, Mercedes, Joe Brown, Bennie Burrow, Sabrina Hemphill and husband, Raymond, Toby Marlow, and Jordan Marlow-as well as her 12 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren, whose laughter and love filled her days.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her husband Ronnie, her son Joe Ray Brown, her daughter Sharon Oleta Brown, her granddaughter Shenette Briley, as well as her sister and four brothers.

In celebration of Alvarene's vibrant life, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Eastland City Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Hart. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to a visitation at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, from 12:00 noon until 1:45 PM, to share their love and memories of this incredible woman.

As we gather to honor Alvarene, we will remember her for her kindness, strength, and the unwavering love she bestowed upon all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed but forever celebrated in our hearts.
