Betty Jane Webb

Betty Jane Webb age 83, of Abilene Texas passed away September 16, 2025 in Hendricks Hospice in Abilene.

Graveside service will be 11 AM Friday September 19, 2025 in the Eastland City Cemetery with Rev. Toby Castleberry of Calvary Baptist Church of Vernon officiating under the direction of Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home of Stamford Texas.

Betty was born July 27, 1942 in Eastland Texas. She was the youngest of seven children born to Jess Y. and Bertha Jane Kellett Jordan. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, J.Y. Jordan, Margaret Powers, Tom Jordan, Landon Jordan, Bill Jordan and Mary Maize.

She married Robert M. "Bob" Webb, Jr July 18, 1959 in Eastland Texas who preceded her in death March 28, 2024.

Betty started her career in retail in Galveston, Texas working for Texas Drug Company. Moving back to Eastland in the late 70's where she worked for Gibson Discount Center for many years until they sold to Walmart. She continued as manager at Walmart for more than 25 years before retiring in the mid 90's and moving to Abilene where she assumed her role as MEME. Her greatest joy in life was being MEME and her greatest activity was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She always held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are son, Robert M. Webb III and wife, Lori of Vernon; daughter, Libbie Jones of Abilene; sister, Debra Jaquez and husband Adam of Yoakum, Texas; grandchildren, Emily Belcher and husband, Nolan and their children, Hunter and Lincoln. Billy Jones and wife, Amanda and their son, Tucker, Robby Jones and his wife, Mallory and their daughter Olivia, Lyndie Jones, Sarah Lundgren and husband, Brant and their children Beck, R.B., and LeRoy, Barlee Barron and his children, Asher and Lyrik; and his very special companion June Bug.
