Burnell Graham

Burnell Evans Graham, age 88 passed away on August 11, 2026. Burnell was born on the Evans' homestead on March 18, 1938, and attended Cisco public schools, grades 1-12, graduating in 1956. She worked as an insurance clerk in Cisco and Abilene, Texas.

She Married Walter C. Graham on January 30, 1965. Their daughter, Cecilia was born on August 29, 1967, and they raised her in Abilene, Texas. Upon retirement. Burnell and Walter took over and expanded the Evans' homestead and built a new home. In this setting, Burnell enjoyed bird watching and wildlife observation, taking care of beloved pets, gardening and caring for plants.

Burnell was a devoted wife, loving mother and a life long Southern Baptist with a kind and generous spirit.

She was preceded in death in death by her parents Loyd and Clara Evans and her older sister Elizabeth Evans. She is survived by her husband, Walter Graham and her daughter, Cecilia Graham (and her loving Dachshund, Wally).

A memorial service will be held on August 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM for family and friends at Corinth Baptist Church, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.
