Clifton Walton

April 28, 1934 — May 12, 2025

It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Clifton Lowell Walton, aged 91, who departed this life on May 12, 2025 in Abilene, Texas. Born on April 28, 1934 in Eastland, Texas, Clifton was a devoted family man, whose love for his family and friends was evident in every interaction. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories.

Clifton had a contagious spirit, marked by his playful nature as a mischievous prankster. An exceptional grandpa, he delighted in pulling his grandchildren in a wagon behind his riding lawnmower and showered them with love and attention. His warmth extended beyond the family as he often took in stray cats, demonstrating his kind-heartedness and nurturing spirit.

An avid stargazer, Clifton found comfort and wonder in the night sky, and he often shared that awe with those around him. His green thumb thrived as he tended to his garden, a space that brought him joy and solace. Known for his hard work, Clifton always approached his endeavors with dedication, embodying the spirit of perseverance.

Clifton found solace in the pages of his favorite book, “Jesus Calling,” drawing inspiration and peace from its words. He had a special affection for Cindy’s homemade cookies and German Chocolate cake, often indulging in those sweet treats with great delight.
