Dorothy Mae Casey, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend,
departed this world on April 30, 2026, at the age of 82, in Ranger, TX, surrounded by
her loving family.
Born on May 19, 1943, in Gorman, TX, Dorothy was raised by her wonderful parents,
Tillman Lafayette Fonville and Eva Mae (Roberts) Cook, who instilled in her the values
of love, kindness, and faith. She shared a life with her husband of 63 years, Mac Arthur
Casey, who will miss her dearly. Dorothy was a member of the Baptist faith and found
her greatest joy in caring for her cherished grandbabies, whose laughter and love filled
her days with happiness.
In addition to her nurturing spirit, Dorothy embraced her passions for cooking and
solving crossword puzzles. Her legacy continues through her daughter Shelia Bearden
and her husband Mark of Ranger, as well as her daughter Karen Wilcoxson of Gorman,
and her son Tim Casey and his wife Sue of Ranger. Dorothy's spirit will also be carried
on by her three grandchildren: Jeff Casey and his wife Brittany, Colton Wilcoxson and
his wife Chantal, and Kailey Wilcoxson, along with her five great-grandchildren: Aubri
Casey, Novah Wilcoxson, Brett Wilcoxson, Arianna Ramirez, and Eli Ramirez.
Dorothy was the caring sister of four sisters-Betty Moon and husband Marvin, Barbara
Clayton, Darlene Walston, and Marlene Cook-and two brothers, Phillip Fonville and his
wife Noma and Rick Fonville. She was adored by numerous nieces, nephews, and
friends, all of whom will miss her vibrant presence.
Dorothy is reunited in spirit with her parents, Tillman Fonville and Eva Mae Cook, who
preceded her in death. While there are no services scheduled at this time, her family
looks forward to inviting everyone to celebrate her life in the days to come.
As we remember Dorothy, let us cherish the moments she gifted us, the love she
spread, and the joyful legacy she leaves behind. We celebrate her life and the
wonderful memories that will forever remain in our hearts.
