Elizabeth Ann Smith, age 86, of Eastland, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on January 19, 1940, in Meridian, Mississippi, to William Aubrey McCall and Lillie Ruth Copeland McCall.

Ann's journey through life was marked by warmth, dedication, and an unwavering love for her family. She married the love of her life, William David Smith, on July 21, 1960, in Meridian, MS. Their bond was a testament to true partnership until his passing on August 14, 2010. Ann embraced her role as a homemaker passionately and famously cared for countless children throughout her life, earning her the affectionate title of "Nana Ann."

Her legacy lives on through her two devoted sons, William David Smith (Lisa) and Thomas Anthony Smith (Pam), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Samantha, Alex, Julia, Mark, and Chris. She was also the proud great-grandmother of seven, whose laughter and joy filled her heart with pride. Ann is survived by her loving brother, William "Bill" McCall, and her sisters, Faye Locke and Patsy Dearman, who will forever remember her kindness and compassion.

The family will receive friends during a visitation that will commence at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, at Edwards Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastland City Cemetery, where those who knew and loved her will gather to celebrate her remarkable life and bid their final farewells.

In remembering Elizabeth Ann Smith, we honor a life characterized by endless love, nurturing spirit, and the cherished moments that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
