With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jimmy Dale Tucker, 94, who departed this life peacefully at his home in Eastland, TX on January 3, 2026. Born on October 31,1931 in Stanton, TX, to Woodrow and Donnie Mae (Hagood) Tucker, Jimmy exemplified a life filled with warmth, dedication, and an unwavering love for family and country.
A proud veteran, Jimmy served in the United States Army from May 24, 1954, to May 24, 1956, achieving the rank of Specialist Third Class (SP3). He married the love of his life, Vonceil Rhoton, on October 3, 1953, in Austin, TX, and their union was marked by laughter, love, and cherished memories.
Throughout his life, Jimmy was most passionate about his work as a home builder, where he crafted homes that served as foundations for countless families, just as his family was a foundation for him. A devoted member of Lake Leon Baptist Church, his faith was a guiding light in his life.
Jimmy found joy in the simple pleasures: sitting on his back porch overlooking Lake Leon, reveling in the sights of nature, especially the ducks that graced his yard. He loved family gatherings, where laughter echoed as they watched sports and cherished game shows together. Traveling, particularly on cruises and to Hawaii to spend time with family, filled his heart with exploration and joy.
He is survived by his beloved son Rick Tucker and his wife Lisa of Pipe Creek, TX, and son Larry Tucker and his wife Gail of Anaheim, CA. His daughter, Roseann Uli'i, resides in Hawaii, along with eight adoring grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Jimmy will also be lovingly remembered by his sister, Barbara Weiss of Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents; his cherished wife, Vonceil; and his brother, Ronnie Tucker.
