Johnny Robert Whisenant, 63 of Ranger, passed away Saturday February 18, 2017 in Eastland. A memorial service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Ranger, Saturday, February 25th at 2 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Johnny was born September 5, 1953 in Gorman to Robert Dale Whisenant and Billie Pearline (Daniels) Whisenant. He was a jack of all trades and worked for Ranger Meat Co. He was a member of the Olden Baptist Church and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his fiancé, Valve Buford; a son, Robert John Whisenant; 3 daughters, Candace Herrington and husband Brody, Amanda Wiloth, and Jessica Farr & husband Michael; a brother, Loyd Bradley Whisenant; a sister, Sherry Waddle & husband Dale; 4 grandchildren; and 2 step-grandchildren.
