Joyce Ellen Elmore, 83, of Eastland, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, compassion, and dedication to those around her.

Born on October 1, 1941, in Eastland County to Newman Graham and Pearl Rich Graham, Joyce lived a life full of purpose and care. She was united in marriage to Owen Aden Elmore on December 20, 1958, in Eastland. Together, they shared a loving partnership until his passing on June 28, 2008. Joyce's commitment to her family and community was evident throughout her life, particularly in her years of service as a nurse's aide at Eastland Memorial Hospital, where she touched the lives of many. She worked at the House of Webster for many years, as well as in the cafeteria of Siebert Elementary School.

Joyce possessed a deep love for nature, often finding joy in watching birds-especially doves. She also had a talent for music, playing the piano with grace. Her heart was always open to helping others in any way she could, reflecting the kindness that defined her character.

Joyce is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Tim Elmore and wife Sherry, and Travis Elmore and wife Loretta; her two daughters, Terresa Smith and Tena Elmore, brother, Charles Graham, sister, Bonnie Williams; her legacy will continue through her ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Aden, her grandson Brandon, and sister Gaynell Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home. Following the ceremony, Joyce will be laid to rest at Romney Cemetery, where her memory will be honored by family and friends. The family will welcome visitors for a time of remembrance on Friday, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joyce Ellen Elmore leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered.
