Kayla Strickland

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kayla Brook Strickland, aged 43, of Cisco, who departed from this life on March 18, 2026, in Abilene. Kayla was born on November 30, 1982, to Kevin Russell Strickland and Joan White Strickland, and she was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend.

A reverent service celebrating Kayla's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Mitchell Baptist Church, where she will be remembered for her kindness and vibrant spirit. The service will be officiated by Howard Stovall and Mike Bacon, who will guide us in honoring her memory. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Corinth Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., with arrangements directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.

Kayla was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bob and Jean White, who welcomed her with open arms in the afterlife. She is survived by her devoted parents, Kevin and Joan Strickland; sisters Wendy Linam, Shelly Paige, and Shellea' Svendsen; and brother Klay Strickland, all of whom will carry her in their hearts forever.

As we gather to celebrate Kayla's life, we remember her for the love she brought into our lives and the light she will continue to shine upon us. May her soul rest in peace, embraced by cherished memories and the love of family and friends.
