Letha May Allcock

Letha May Allcock (nee Parsley) passed away on Tuesday, February 24 2026 at the age of 95 years, in Conroe, Texas. Graveside services were held on Friday 2-27-2026 at 3pm, at Hanson Cemetery in Comyn, Comanche County, Texas. Services were under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland, Texas.

Letha was born to Daniel Everett Parsley and Esther Lee Parsley (nee Doggett) on February 6,1931 in Comanche County, Texas. She grew up in Comanche County, Texas and went to school at Comyn. On March 24,1946 she married the love of her life, Eldred Allcock, in DeLeon, Texas.

Letha loved being around people, making her career as a beautician. Later in her life she was a seamstress and worked for Russell Newmann of Cisco, Texas and Eastlander Designs of Eastland, Texas. She enjoyed crochet and sewing- making clothes for her daughters. One of her greatest pleasures was working on puzzles. She always had a puzzle laid out on her puzzle board. She was a member of and attended the Church of Christ in Cisco, Texas. Outside her home she was a member of the Rebeccas, where she participated in many charitable activities. She was always "taking care of people". She had a heart as big as all outdoors and loved her family dearly.

Survivors include her daughter, Robbie Van, of Woodforest, Texas; her grandchildren, Rhonda Shumake and her husband, Cody, of Midland, Texas; James Goble and his wife, Caleen, of Bullard, Texas; and Rodney Dennis and his wife, Ann, of Gorman, Texas; eight grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was quite a character, and her memory will linger with all who knew and loved her.
