Lisa Marie Lavender, of Eastland, Texas, passed away leaving behind a deeply complicated and vivid legacy.
Born in 1957 near Mount St. Helens, Mrs. Lavender was an artistic soul whose intense proclivities left an indelible impression on everyone she met - acting as a bold crimson brushstroke for some, of a calming blue wash for others. Somewhere in the middle of her canvas lay a dense, ochre stippling resembling a field of wheat, where she always envisioned walking forever, seeking new horizons to paint while enjoying a Diet Coke and a box of store-bought guavas.
While not always easy to understand, she was fiercely devoted to those who could decipher her artistic veil, operating as equal parts late-period abstract Picasso and homely, Americana Norman Rockwell. May she find eternal peace in her ethereal wanderings.
She is survived by her brothers Dirk Huff, Chris "Akbar" Huff-Hanson, and Rory Huff, and her children, Anne Gomez, Adam Asaro and Casey Huff.
