Margaret Gailey

February 4, 1934 — July 21, 2025

Margaret Jo Gailey, age 91, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at her home in Strawn, Texas. Born on February 4, 1934, in LaCasa, Texas to Marlow and Ruth Langford. Margaret lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith and family. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-five years, Bob Gailey.

A devoted member of Leon River Cowboy Church, Margaret's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved Jesus with a deep and steady devotion-a quiet faith that shaped how she lived, how she loved, and how she showed up for others. Her spiritual foundation overflowed into the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy is one of unwavering love and steadfast belief.

Margaret found joy in the simple beauty of life-especially in bluebonnets blooming in the Spring. She had a passion for hunting arrowheads and loved to fish. She also held a lifelong affection for the Texas Rangers baseball team.

Family was at the heart of everything Margaret did. She is lovingly remembered by her children: son Bobby Gailey and his two daughters and six grandchildren; son Nicky Gailey and his wife Jackie, their three children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; daughter Debbie Gailey, her daughter and two grandchildren; son Larry Gailey and his wife Peggy, their two sons and six grandchildren; daughter Becky Koerner and her husband Billy, their three children and four grandchildren; and daughter Gayla Galyean and her husband Doug, their four children and six grandchildren. Margaret is survived by her brother Terry Langford and his wife Lisa, brother Ronnie Langford and his wife Rosemary, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Known affectionately as "Nana," Margaret's presence was a source of comfort and strength to those around her. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, stories from generations past, warm meals shared around the table, and an abiding sense of love that welcomed all who entered.

Margaret's life was a testament to enduring faith and unconditional love-a quiet but powerful force that shaped generations. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
