Norman Taylor Hall, a beloved husband, father, and friend, transitioned to the eternal gardens of life on April 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on November 27, 1935, in Houston, TX, Norman's journey was filled with passion, love, and commitment to his family and community.
Norman was united in marriage to his devoted wife, Nancy Ellen Alvarado, in 1961 in Wilmington, Delaware. Together, they shared a beautiful life for 65 years. A proud graduate of Rice University, Norman earned his Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and made significant contributions to the industry as a chemical engineer and entrepreneur, starting a small business recycling plastic long before it became mainstream.
A person of great faith, Norman actively supported the Palo Pinto Volunteer Fire Department, reflecting his commitment to his community. His love for nature blossomed in his cherished garden, where he took pride in cultivating a stunning yard as a Master Gardener in Palo Pinto, TX. A lover of knowledge, Norman was always engaged in current events.
Norman's family will hold a memorial service to celebrate his remarkable life at a later date, inviting all who knew him to join in honoring the legacy he leaves behind. Details of the service will be announced soon, providing an opportunity to gather and remember the caring husband, dedicated father, and cherished friend that Norman was.
He is survived by his adoring wife Nancy of Gordon, two sons, Mark Hall of Dallas and Chris Hall and wife, Sherri of Weatherford, along with two step-sisters, Molly Parker and husband Paul of Houston and Early McWhorter of Jackson Hole, WY, and a multitude of friends and extended family who will forever cherish his memory.
Norman was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Taylor Hall and Edith Rhodes. In the spirit of celebration, let us remember his vibrant life, his unwavering kindness, and the joy he brought to all around him.
