Pamela Couger

Pamela Couger passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 surrounded by family. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Strawn, Texas directed by Edwards Funeral Home.


Pam was born on September 25, 1964, to James and Louise Durst in Galveston, Texas. She married Johnny Caudle in 1982 and Greg Couger in 2015. Pam was an insurance agent with Farm Bureau. She also worked as a hair stylist and sold Mary Kay for several years. She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, collecting antiques, shopping, and getting dolled up. She had a memorable laugh and the best sense of humor. She loved her children and made sure they knew it.


Pam is proceeded in death by her husband, Greg Couger, her mother and father, Louise and James Durst, her siblings Ronnie Durst and Elaine Jones.


She is survived by her children, Seth and wife Dana Caudle, Brittany Caudle, Justin Caudle, and Shea Caudle; grandchildren, Anna Stovall, Lorena Caudle, and Ryan Fernandez; step-children, Shad Kline, Jake Couger, Brad Couger, K'lynn Reynolds; sisters, Ellen and husband P.D. Byars, Trish and husband Billy Shifflett; her neice who was like a sister, Kay Patterson; and her many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.


Pam was cherished and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
