Peter Scott Stucky

Pete Stucky, born Peter Scott Stucky, passed away March 20, 2026 at the age of 70. He was born on January 25, 1956 to Harold L Stucky and Veta Symcox Stucky in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Pete was raised in Pretty Prairie, KS, where he attended high school and worked in the family businesses; home construction, sale barns and livestock.
Pete moved to Jarrell, Tx in 1994, there he met and married Jana Sybert in April 1996, and they raised their 5 children: Brian, Matt, Ashley, Kristen and Lisa.

Pete was a man that was larger than life. He had the knowledge, wit and the grit to succeed in whatever route he chose. There wasn't a single thing that he did not know and was never short on words. He continued his endeavors with construction and livestock, whether it be horses or cattle.

In May 2010, he, Jana and Matt m oved to Carbon (Okra), Tx. Here he established the 7S Ranch. He became one of the best- and well-known Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred horse trainers of all times. He was also the leading owner in Quarter Horses and was acknowledged at the Remington Park in Oklahoma City, OK, with a plaque that still hangs to this day. He retired from the race horse business in 2019,

Pete and Matt built his and Jana's new home on the back acreage of 7S Ranch. There he spent his time, ranching with a few head of cattle and of course his horse Hector.
He later found a hobby of restoring his 1938 Olds with his good, good friend Delton Ball. Together they restored that old car and also started to restore a pickup for Delton.

Pete was a firm believer in God, he was a member of the Broken Bronc Cowboy Church in Beattie, Tx. He was always willing to help others, but quietly, never wanted recognition. He always said, "God knows and that's all that matters".

Pete was preceded in death by his mother and father, Harold and Veta Stucky, a sister Teresa Stucky, brother Mike Stucky.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jana Stucky. Sons, Brian Stucky, wife Shannon, Matthew (Matt) Stucky and wife Corie. Daughters , Ashley Burtt, husband Brian, Kristen Cox, husband James, Lisa Branham and husband Henry and numerous grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.

A private burial with family and close friends was held.
