Phillis Helen Johnston

Phillis Helen Johnston, 78, of Ranger, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025. Born on August 11, 1946, she lived a life filled with love for her family and her beloved dogs.

Phillis is survived by her son, Joey Johnston and his wife, Renee; her daughter, Wanda Dossey; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who were a source of joy in her life. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that she was reunited with her late-husband Corkey as well as her children that preceded her; Wesley, James, and Melba and grandson Jake Johnston.

A graveside service to celebrate Phillis' life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Merriman Cemetery with Matthew Sawyer officiating. A family visitation will be held from 9:00am until 12:00pm on Monday at Edwards Funeral Home-Ranger. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are: Corky Dossey, Shalor Roberts, Michael Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez, Matthew Sawyer and Clifton Boggs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ranger Animal Shelter.
