Tammie Laine Harris, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in her home in Eastland, Texas, on January 17, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on December 5, 1962, in Dumas, Texas, Tammie was the cherished daughter of Tommie Melvin and Elaine (Northcutt) Harris.

Combining her faith and nurturing spirit, Tammie created a welcoming home filled with love and laughter. A devoted member of the Baptist community, she enjoyed simple pleasures, including bird watching, collecting seashells, completing crossword puzzles, and singing karaoke. Tammie's giving heart made her a mother figure to many, as she opened her arms to all who needed love and support.

Tammie's greatest joy came from her family. She delighted in the time spent with her grandbabies, cherishing every moment during family gatherings. She is survived by her six loving children: Shauna Sexton and husband Robert, Shanda French and husband Delbert, James Alexander, William Alexander, Robert Sybesma and wife Hailey, Chacey Trevino and husband Devin, as well as a myriad of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on her spirit.

In addition to her immediate family, Tammie leaves behind many others who affectionately called her "Mom," illustrating the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and two granddaughters, Elora and Maddison Alexander.

Pallbearers are, James and William Alexander, Robert Sexton, lbert French, Devin Trevino, Terry Perez, and Xzavier French.

Funeral services to celebrate Tammie's life will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, with Bro. Larry Hooper officiating. Interment will follow at the Eastland City Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather and share their memories of Tammie.

Tammie Sybesma will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and devotion to family and friends. In honoring her legacy, may we all embrace the spirit of love and compassion she so beautifully embodied.
