Tammy Jo Plowman, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 66, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 18, 1958, in Weatherford, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Martin and Vivian (Gatlin) Brown.

Tammy's journey through life was one filled with enduring love and cherished memories. She married her soulmate, David Plowman, on March 30, 1979, in Weatherford, Texas. Their bond stood the test of time, enjoying a beautiful partnership of 47 years, marked by unwavering support and dedication to one another.

A devoted member of the Baptist faith, Tammy embraced life with warmth and creativity. She found joy in sewing, cooking, and the arts, often sharing her talents through homemade meals and crafts. Her passion for culinary arts shone through her work as a Dietary Cook in the food industry, where she nourished both body and soul. She also delighted in the simple pleasures of life, like watching episodes of "Law and Order," and cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Fitz.

Tammy was raised in Milsap, Texas, where she graduated from Milsap High School. Throughout her life, she remained close to her family, who were her greatest treasure. She is survived by her loving husband, David Plowman; her father, Martin Robert Brown; her daughter, Krista "Rhena" Necessary and her husband, Chris; sons, David Stanley Plowman and his wife, Nicole, Robert William Edward Plowman, and Stephen Carl Plowman and his wife, Linsey; her sister, Vivian Sturdivent; and eight adoring grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of love.

Tammy was preceded in death by her dear mother, Vivian Lucille Brown, whose spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew them both.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA in honor of Fitz.
