Thelma Broyles

Thelma Ara Chrestman Broyles passed from this life to the next peacefully on May 3, 2025 at age 91.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Merriman Cemetery with Bro. Gerald Gunstanson officiating, and under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She was born January 29, 1934 to Ocie Jessie and Eunice Arnold Chrestman. On October 15, 1960 she married Joe Dawson (J.D.) Broyles.

Together they had two children, Teresa and Michael.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting, coloring and working word search puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Velma Cozart; husband, J.D.; and her brother, Foy Chrestman.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Swanner (Allan) and Michael Broyles (Becky); grandchildren, Tiffany Ruelas (Eric), Dawson Broyles (Bethany), and Nicole Snider (Zak); two great-grandsons, Carson and Luke Broyles; and a great-granddaughter, Raelynn Ruelas; and one brother, Tom Chrestman.
