Truman Bogue Miller, 72, of Ranger, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2023 in Weatherford, Texas, surrounded by family. Truman was born June 12, 1950 in Ranger, Texas, to Winferd Nathaniel Miller and Dorothy Lee (Squyres) Miller. He grew up in Ranger and graduated from Ranger High School. Truman married Reatha Jane (Janie) Miller on June 12, 1970. He was a contractor and highly skilled carpenter/craftsman. He and Janie had a carpet, home furnishing and sporting-good store for many years until he decided to change careers in 1995 as an insurance adjuster in which he retired from.
From an early age he loved playing the piano, fiddle and guitar and singing with his mom, sister Jean and other family. He enjoyed shopping for a "good deal", auctions and antique anything, guns, and he loved fishing and hunting with his grandkids. His biggest joy was his family. Truman was a huge jokester, with an infectious laugh, and enjoyed making people laugh.
Truman is preceded in death by both parents and his beloved, youngest daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Merka and son (in-law) Eric Merka. He is survived by wife, Janie Miller; sister Deloris Jean Ainsworth and Billy of Ranger, brother-in-law John Lee Graham and Linda of Mineral Wells, daughter, Melinda (Mendy) Griffin and Rex (Biff) of Weatherford, Tx; son, Tony Miller and Stella of Weatherford, Tx; grandchildren, Shelby Griffin Corder and Cody, Tyler Miller, Grant Merka and Allison, Nicole Miller Desrochers and Ben, Blake Merka, Thomas Miller, Cassidy Griffin and Dalton Sexton, Julie Griffin and Tandy Miller; great-grandchildren, Andrea (Andi), Creed, Presley Joy, Calvin, Cash and Carson; niece, Sherry Ainsworth Roberts and Gordon; nephew, Waylon Ainsworth and Stephanie; Amanda Graham Sudderth and Matt; Michael Graham and Laura; great-nephews, Parker, Riley, William, Brice and great-nieces, Brooke and Avery and many life-long friends that he considered family.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 19th from 2:00-4:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Ranger. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 20th at Bullock Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
