Wanda Joyce Hallmark

March 6, 1949 — June 2, 2026

Funeral services for Wanda Joyce Hallmark, 77, of Cisco, will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 2:30 PM at The Woodbridge Church in Ranger, officiated by Dustin Purvis. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM at The Woodbridge Church. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Eastland.

Wanda died on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Ranger Care Center in Ranger.

She was born on March 6, 1949 in Lubbock to E.G. and Maud Morris. Growing up in Lubbock, TX, she was a graduate of Coronado High School. She moved to Cisco in the mid-1970s. Herrel Hallmark and Wanda Morris Pevey were married on May 1, 1980 in Cisco.

After moving to Cisco, Wanda worked for several businesses, including a couple of restaurants, Russell Newman and The Cisco Press. She and Herrel moved to Breckenridge where she worked for the Breckenridge American newspaper and a bank. They moved to Sweetwater and Lamesa where she worked in elder care homes in both cities, as well as a bank in Lamesa.

Wanda was a Christian and loved the fellowship of her church family. She enjoyed being around people and loved being with her family especially the family road trips. She also, loved to sing.

Pallbearers are; Lonnie Pevey, William Pevey, Dalton Pevey, Landon Pevey, Michael Moreno and Lonnie Moreno.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E.G. and Maud Morris; one sister, Patsy Terbush; and one half-brother, Hoover Robbins.

Survivors include her husband, Herrel of Cisco; four children, Lonnie and Dena Pevey of Cisco, Sherri Lynn Birkla of Abilene, William and Amy Pevey of Monahans and Teresa King of Ranger; ten grandchildren, Michael and Kim Moreno, Lonnie Moreno, Ashlyn Pevey, Dalton Pevey, A.J. Pevey, Christina Pevey, Elizabeth Pevey, Landon Pevey and Andrea King; one great-granddaughter, Kinsley Moreno; one brother, Allen and wife, Donna Morris of Lubbock; and, one sister-in-law, Margaret Hallmark of Cisco. She has several nieces and nephews who she adored and adore her.
